An arched bridge connecting the remote island Kesennuma Oshima to th mainland Kesennuma. After the 311 Eastern Japan Earthquake, people recognized the importance of connecting these two and started to build the bridge. It is planned to be opened on March 31, 2019. It will be considered the longest bridge in Eastern Japan. The beauty of its design and architecture has also been spoken highly of.
