A highway rest stop nearby Murata IC interchange of the Tohoku highway with farm-fresh vegetables for sales and a canteen with nice dishes. The Murata Historical and Mirai Museum, convenience stores, and the Tamago Cottage (serving beverages, food, and with souvenirs) are all within reach, making it a wonderful place to take a break in your trip.

Thousand cherry blossom trees at one sight
Along the Shiraishi River at the center of Ogawara Town going to the lower stream at Shibata Town there are as many as 1,200 cherry blossoms tress, it is a top rank flower spot in the country, which is commonly called "thousand cherry blossom trees at one sight". It attracts a lot of domestic and overseas tourists in every early April, the best watching season.

Shiroishi Castle
Shiroishi Castle is located at the center of the city of Shiroishi City, which is a vitally crucial spot in the south of Sendai domain. For over 260 years from Battle of Sekigahara to the Meiji reform, it was the residence of the Katakura family, an important minister of the Date Power.
Neighboring to it is a nice restaurant for dining and shopping.

The second largest river in north east Japan, which is 239 km long running via Tochigi and Fukushi prefectures. Located at the lower stream is Marumori Town, which was a prosperous town functioned as a transportation spot for rice and silk. The boat ride brings you a sense of reminiscence as a travel back to the ancient time.
